Jeff Probst: This is the Okavango Delta. Located deep in the heart of Botswana, this region is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa, and provides enough water to combat the harsh dryness of the Kalahari desert.
Jeff Probst: I'm here in the midst of the river delta, on Sausage Island, where thirty-six Americans are about to begin the adventure of a lifetime.
Jeff Probst: Half of the players are currently arriving by helicopter, and getting their first look at the land that they will call home for the next thirty-nine days.
Jeff Probst: They're making critical observations about this strange environment, and each other.
Jeff Probst: What they don't know is, the game has already begun, and they're about to experience the first of many unpredictable twists and turns.
Jeff Probst: Out there on the horizon is a boat carrying the men's competition - eighteen women of all ages, and from all walks of life

But what they don't know is that this was all a part of the plan - there were never any women cast for the game. This is Sausage Island, and this game will be the ultimate Sausage Fest. The eighteen men will be split into three tribes, where they'll be forced to create a new society while battling against the elements and each other. With no women around, the flirts will have nowhere to go.
